MouldyJoe
New guy to the forum. I have been smithing for years out of a family farm tradition of "lets see if we can make it before we go buy it" attitude. Or as my kids describe it " What can I fix this with that's within my reach". I went to a local Blacksmith club meeting and had a great time making nail headers. I've been working on a ASO for a while and didn't know any different, It's a Vulcan 10. Looking forward to all the great advise I see here. and a chance to upgrade on my tools. Thanks, Joe

sanddraggin
Welcome to IFI Mouldyjoe. I'm from Utah, recently moved to Nevada. First thing you'll probably be told is to add your location on your profile. Makes it easier for people to point you you towards help if they know a general area. ThomasPowers
Vulcan 10 == 100 pound vulcan is NOT an ASO; merely the lowest quality tier of "real" anvils. In fact I suggest them for people with close neighbors who can't find a Fisher. I also have one on my wall of shape that has been abused until scraphood.
